Edmund Collier, Yerrida and Asbhurton Projects

Natural hydrogen demonstrates the potential to be a low cost, low emissions, naturally replenishing source of energy. These advantages over current energy sources may see it completely transform the global energy landscape.

With a flurry of international investment into natural hydrogen, and Australian Federal and State Governments introducing significant initiatives to support the development of the domestic hydrogen industry, Australia is at a critical inflexion point. This provides a huge opportunity for investors.

“As the world pivots towards sustainable energy solutions, Alaska and Texas, two of America’s largest oil-producing states, are now setting their sights on hydrogen as the next frontier in energy production. Hydrogen, particularly in its “white” form, presents a potential gold rush for these states, promising to reshape the energy landscape much like oil once did.”

Hydrogen Fuel News, October 2024

“The global hydrogen market has been forecast to reach US$1.4 trillion in 2050… Hydrogen is central to the Australian Government’s vision for a Future Made in Australia.”

Australian Government, Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, 2024

The WA Petroleum Legislation Amendment Bill was passed in May 2024, establishing the framework for exploration of hydrogen in Western Australia, and its subsequent inclusion into existing gas pipelines. This Bill provides a highly favourable environment for the development of the hydrogen sector in Western Australia.

Constellation Resources is ideally positioned to capitalise on this opportunity after securing first mover applications to capture what we consider are the most prospective Basin scale plays within Western Australia.

The world’s only known natural hydrogen producing field is Bourakebougou in Mali, Africa which has been generating carbon free electricity since 2012 utilising a discovery of 98% natural hydrogen.

Constellation considers its Edmund Collier, Yerrida and Ashburton Basin Projects to have the potential to be a larger scale analogue of Bourakebougou. The Yerrida Basin applications prospectivity is further supported by reported gas outbursts from underground mining operations that bookend the project area.

Constellation’s conditionally
accepted applications cover a vast
87,000km2 area of land.

Their proximity to the Dampier to Perth and Goldfields gas pipelines also offers a potential low capital solution to commercialise any discovery that is made.

These applications provide a unique opportunity to enter a market that is still in its infancy but is forecast to have enormous potential.

The Company is currently working on land access identification and notification programs prior to planned soil gas surveys.
